1st Birthday Party

We brought in Emmett's birthday with a bang!!!  I had so much fun celebrating his first year of life.  So amazing what this year has been.  I can't believe he is one and we have survived ;)

My parents, grandma, sister, brother in law, nephew, and Mike's parents all flew in for the party.  We had around 35 people at the party.  It was so much fun!  I loved planning and decorating for this party.  We had a circus theme party for everyone.  Emmett was a champ and went all day with no nap and stayed up until around 8pm!  He is such a lil party animal!  Thank you to everyone that made this day so special!  And thank you God for our amazing gift!  I can't imagine our life without him!  He is so precious to us!

Let the circus begin.  I recruited all family members to help me decorate:)  I had a vision and thanks to Pinterest some great ideas!

I loved the dessert table!

My friend Joe took pictures of Emmett in Wash Park for his 1 year old pics.  I loved being outside and getting in on a few of them too!  So sweet of my friend! Our lil guy turned one on May 1st. Thank you God for this precious gift!

1st Haircut

We took Emmett for his first hair cut right before his birthday party.  We went to Sports Clips.  I had no idea why Mike liked going to this salon but I quickly found out;)  Of course there is a tv on every wall playing a sporting event!  How naive of me!  I just figured there were sports pics all around the salon!  Ha!

Emmett was a champ and sat perfectly still throughout the whole procedure.  He looked so grown up when they finished up his hair cut.  Can't believe he is old enough to be getting a hair cut already!

Easter

We had the best Easter!!!!  It was so much fun celebrating with everyone at the lake this year.  Mike, Emmett, Barley, and I went to the lake on Thursday night after spending the week in Tulsa.  We had a night to ourselves and were able to go on a nice relaxing boat ride.  The next day Mike's cousin Ryan and his girlfriend Gabby joined us.  It was so nice to hang out and have dinner all together.  Gabby and I even got up the next morning and did a yoga/pilates workout together on the front porch.  It was amazing!!!  We were watching boats go by while we were working out!  My idea of a perfect Saturday morning.  That afternoon a lot more cousins came up to the lake and we all went on a boat ride to a restaurant.  We had so much fun and then enjoyed a huge Easter celebration with everyone.  Mike and I weren't ready to leave but we are going back over Memorial Day weekend.  We just kept saying we will be back soon.  It made it a little bit easier to leave:(
The only thing missing from the holiday was Mike's Grandma, Mom, and Mike's younger brother's family.  As I mentioned in an earlier post, Grandma Jones was having a heart procedure done in North Carolina.  She is doing great and recovering.
Such a great way to celebrate our Lord Jesus Christ!
I love my hubby!  Best Easter:)

I think there were 18 kiddos there, 7 not there, and two on the way.  Whoa!

Tulsa Time

After the kiddos big birthday party celebration, we stayed in Tulsa until Thursday.  We went up to the lake from Thursday thru Sunday.  It was nice to spend time with everyone before we went to the lake.  We had dinner almost every night with Mark, Whitney, and the kiddos.  Pam was unfortunately not there.  She was with her mother in North Carolina.  Grandma Jones was going through a very extensive heart procedure.  She is doing great and back home recovering already.  Such a blessing!
We watched the triplets soccer practice and Emmett got in a lot of triplet time!  I went to lunch and shopping with all the cousins and had a lunch date with Whitney one day.  It was a wonderful week!
