Christmas Decorations

I'm a step ahead of the game this year!  I put up all my decorations while my Mom was in town visiting.  We will be gone for 10 days over Thanksgiving and won't get back until the 4th of December.  I wanted to put everything up so we wouldn't have to do any of it when we get back in town.  We also did our family holiday pictures at the house so we got all the Christmas things out.

My big helper!

He was trying to untangle the lights.  Well I think so anyway;)

Mike loves hiding the Annahlee elves all around the house for me to find.  Emmett has pointed out every single one to me before I have even seen them!!!!

Grandma and Oma visit

My Grandma and Mom flew in town for several days this past weekend.  It was so much fun seeing both of them!  My Grandma stayed a couple days with my aunt in Boulder and then spent the rest of the vacation with us.  My Mom stayed with me the whole time and got to spend some quality time with Emmett.  He just loves his Oma time!  We even got to have an early family Thanksgiving at my Aunt Susan's house.

Having fun with his poppa and cousin Caleb

First Snow fall

We had some really cold weather last week and several snow storms!  This is a little early for us with getting snow that sticks to the ground.  It has all almost melted again but I'm sure more storms will be right around the corner.  We hit some record lows too!  It was very cold but we stayed inside and enjoyed some lazy days:)  Mike took Emmett sledding behind our house for the first time.  We lasted for about one run and that was it with the cold weather.

Our neighbor John brought over this inner tube tire for Emmett

All the other kids were on the other side of the hill!

18 Months Old

Emmett turned 18 months old on Nov 1st.  We made it to 1 1/2 years!  He is so busy lately.  He is running, throwing/catching balls, going down the slides at the park.  He is such an active little guy.  I love that he enjoys looking at books and coloring too though.  He can slow down on occasion;)  We have our 18 month check up next week and I'm looking forward to seeing how much he's grown!  We are still working on using more words and talking.  He's very observant and loves imitating momma and dada.  I've noticed him squinting up his face and closing his eyes.  He's imitating me when I put on makeup!  Ha!  He loves putting things around his neck which is just like Mike with his earplugs.  Whenever Mike comes home from a tour, he has earplugs around his neck.  I have to watch Emmett though when he put stuff around his neck!
He loves chasing Barley around the table and playing peek a boo.  Anything that involves chasing is his favorite though.  Emmett loves throwing the ball to our neighbors dog too.  It's so funny!

He sure does love the ladies;)

His toothbrush is kinda his favorite toy right now!

Trying to get the camera

I had to get a picture of those blue eyes!

Halloween 2014

We went to the Munchkin Masquerade for the 2nd year in a row.  It is so much fun to see all the kiddos dressed up and trick or treat along Pearl Street in Boulder.  Emmett wasn't feeling the greatest though.  I think he was teething and just not having it this year.  He was pretty much attached to Mike the whole time but he did warm up a little bit towards the end of the night.  Our neighbors joined us with their little one who is about the same age as Emmett.  Our friends who live in Boulder came along too and my aunt met up with us.  We had quite a group:)  The parents par-taked in some adult beverages at a local brewery by the end of the night.  Good times!

1st attempt at pics.  I did drag along the John Deere wagon down Pearl Street.  I will never attempt that again.  This event is getting busier each year!

Emmett's buddy Paxton.  Cutest doggy ever!!!!  With his tootsie roll bone;)

Megan trying to love on Emmett.  I tried getting a pic of Steelie but she was off trick or treater!  She had it down pat!

Emmett checking out the other kids dressed up

Would not leave Mike's side

Family pic

I finally got a picture with his farmer hat on!

Our Halloween pumpkins!
