Welcome to the World Sweet Baby Nora

Eleanor Mae Franks came into the world on May 2nd at 4:54pm.  She weighed in at 6lbs 9oz. and measured at 19 inches long.  I was induced around 10 am and it was the smoothest labor ever.  I didn't even push:)  I don't tell too many mommas that!  My doctor said after all the stress thru pregnancy that I deserved an easy labor.  I'm not going to argue with that one.  My mom and Mike's parents were here to take care of Emmett and Barley.  We had to stay at the hospital a few extra days because of heart tests.  We were fully prepared to stay a bit extra at the hospital.  It was pretty hard sitting around the hospital and being away from Emmett but it made our homecoming that much sweeter!!!  We had visitors to keep us company so it made the time go faster!  My aunt/uncle, Mike's friend Meghan, and our parents visiting made the days go much faster.  Our parents brought Emmett to the hospital the first night.  He was very overwhelmed seeing his new baby sister and when he had to leave it wasn't pretty.  We decided that we wouldn't have him come back until the day we were leaving.  It was just too much on him.  We had our parents alternate coming for visits.  It ended up working out perfectly!  He was completely entertained with activities and outings with his grandparents.  Coming home was a pretty smooth transition and everybody adjusted pretty well!  I was so happy to have Nora here and see her healthy and happy.  She is beyond a blessing for our family.  It feels complete:)

Baby Sprinkle

Back in April, my friends had a baby sprinkle for Nora's arrival.  We went to High Tea at The Brown Palace in Denver.  It was so much fun and such a girly day:)  The tray of finger sandwiches, petite fours and scones was delicious!  It was the perfect day and a great way to celebrate before baby Nora arrived.
