Lifestyle Shoot

Emmett had a lifestyle shoot done around 3 weeks old.  We couldn't do a newborn shoot because he had a little eye infection that we had to wait to clear up.  It was nice to have a family session:)  Even Barley got in there!

Meeting Family in Illinois and Wisconsin

I took Emmett on his first flight back to Illinois and Wisconsin to meet all of my family.  I can't believe I did his first flight all by myself.  He was a great lil' flyer and everyone on the plane was so nice!!!  Our first day home, I took Emmett to meet my Grandma and then we drove up to Wisconsin Dells to meet Kate, Paul, Alex, and all of the Bushmeyer side.  Mom and Dad found a great resort (recommended by Aunt B) with an indoor and outdoor water park.  Kate, Paul, and I got to spend time in the big outdoor hot tub and margarita bar!  All of the Bushmeyers met us at our resort and we all had a great dinner together.  We then drove back to Illinois to meet all of the Prindiville's.  It was such a fun week being home and seeing everyone!  Emmett is the best little traveler and he loved seeing everyone.  Mike had to work so he didn't get to come home with us but we sure loved seeing him when we got back to Denver!

He was a champ on the plane!  Mike would have been so proud:)

Mark, Whitney, and the Trips Visit!

Mike's brother and his family came to visit the end of July!  We had so much fun!  They kept Emmett and Barley entertained!  I swear when everyone left Barley and Emmett both kept looking for their cousins to play with:)  The kids were so good with Emmett and just loved holding him and playing with him.  They also just love Barley and can't seem to get enough of him.

Mike's parents also came out while Mark and Whitney were here.  They took care of all the kiddos one day so we could have a parent's night out!!!  We all had so much fun!  We went to Boulder one day and showed everyone where Mike and I use to live.  We walked around town and then had Pam and Bill meet all of us at our favorite restaurant The Med!  We also went to Denver Zoo one day and just enjoyed playing at the playground and relaxing at the house.  Mark and Whitney then went to Estes Park for a few days.  We sure loved having everyone here.  I hope it becomes an annual thing:)

The play mat is a hit with everyone

Gracie just loved holding Emmett.  Such a little momma!!!

3 Months Old

Emmett turned 3 months old the first of August!  I'm a little behind:(  It has been a fun and busy summer!  I'm trying to keep up on my blog of Emmett and record everything but I keep running out of time! Ha!  We have been traveling a little bit and enjoying company!

-Emmett is still rolling over from tummy to back but hasn't quite made it from back to belly
-His new thing is to grab his toes and hold onto anything we put in his hands (he started this when he met his cousin Alex and watched all his rolling around)
-I heard his first laugh while we were home in Illinois!  My Aunt Lu got it out of him:)  He has been doing alot of talking and cooing but I had not heard him laugh until Aunt Lu was playing with him!
-Emmett loves to smile!  It doesn't matter who it is, he will break out in a huge grin.  I just love this little guy!!!
-I haven't weighed him since his July check up so I have no idea his weight right now but he sure feels big!!!  On July 2nd, he weighed 12 lbs 1 oz and measured 22 1/4 inches.  Our next appointment is in September so it will be fun to see the difference!
-He is eating 5-6 ounces every feeding and is still sleeping through the night pretty well
