Grandpa Made It

My Dad couldn't visit when Emmett was first born since he was farming.  I wish he could have been here right away but we got a nice long visit with him when Emmett was about 1 month old.  I had been getting more rest at this point so I felt that I was finally functioning!  I could hold a conversation and remember what we talked about:)  Ha!
Grandpa loves his little guy!

Tummy time together because Emmett loves some Grandpa time!!!

2 months old (July 1st)

I can't believe the difference a month makes!  Emmett is getting so much bigger and is more and more interactive.  He loves smiling, cooing, and trying to talk to us:)

-loves his safari land playmat!
-still rolling over from tummy to his back (first rollover at 3 weeks)
-starting to like his bouncy seat
-sleeps great in his swing and bassinet
-still sleeping next to momma in his bassinet
-smiling tons!!!
-started cooing this month
-loves being held by anyone and everyone but after a little while he wants his momma back:)
-120 ml-160 ml per feeding
-sleeping 8-9 hours a night!!! Woohoo!!!
Hi guys!!!!  I'm 2 months old!!!

My happy baby:)  Love him to pieces!!!!

1 month old (June 1st)

Emmett turned 1 month old on June 1st and we had a busy first month.  All the grandparents got to meet Emmet in that first month and his Uncle Joe!  He slowly started being introduced to all the neighbors too. We had our first story time outing at the library with our friends MaryJane, CiCi and Owen.  Emmett even did a few shopping excursions with the momma:)  Every time we are out and about Emmett is always approached by little kids.  Momma Grizzly mode kicks in for me:)  These kiddos think he is a doll and they are always trying to get at him in his stroller.  The momma is definitely more bothered by it than Emmett.  He usually just coos and looks at them.
He loves his farming onesie from Grandpa!!!  Oh yeah and his pacifier;)

I couldn't get him to smile quite yet

First Bath and Playtime

We finally gave Emmett his first bath.  He wasn't so much a fan but we got it done:)  It was nice my mom was here to help and document some photos of us with the little guy.  We also used his play mat for the first time.  He loves being on his back to look at all the animals and colors.  Emmett has started some tummy time and he even rolled over onto his back at 3 weeks old!!!!  I'm not sure if it was just a fluke but he uses his strong little legs to move himself.  His head is taking some effort to pick up since it is a big Prindiville head;)

Emmett loving his first bath;)

Our little guy has some lungs on him!

We're almost done buddy

Of course, Mike jumped into see what all the fun was about

I'm not sure whose toy this is right now.  Do you think my son will be serious to make up the difference for his Dad's behavior?  Ha!

I love you sweet boy!!!

Emmett is here!!!!!

Emmett Michael Franks arrived at 7:10pm on May 1st!  He came in with a snow storm that hit Colorado.  I don't ever remember that much snow coming in the end of April/beginning of May ever since I have been living here.  Mike of course had just gone on the road Tuesday April 30th.  Pam and my mom came in town that week just in case Emmett decided to join us while Mike was away:)  My water broke in the middle of the night around 1am.  The doctor let me stay at home since I wasn't having contractions yet.  We didn't have to get to the hospital until 7am.  It was so nice to relax at home for awhile.  Mike was in Boston and his company got him on the first flight home Wednesday morning.  He made it to the hospital at 10am so he had plenty of time before Emmett made his arrival!  It was a pretty smooth labor and delivery.  I only had to push for an hour and he came out at 8lbs 6oz and 19 inches long.  We just love our little man.  He is such a blessing and we are so thankful God brought him into our lives:)
I just got my epidural and Mike made it to the hospital!

I was trying to avoid a picture

The snow storm that brought our Emmett into the world:)

The mommas kept themselves entertained

He's here!!!  Our sweet lil guy!

So in love with my lil blondie

I couldn't believe I had such a big baby!

Uncle Joe stopped in for a visit

Our last day at the hospital before heading home

Uncle Joe is a pro

The Moms did such a good job getting me to the hospital and watching over me until Mike made it there.  It was really hard going into labor without my husband but I was beyond lucky and blessed to have two wonderful moms:)

Bill got into town about two hours after Mike so he got to see Emmett the first night too!

My Dad is farming so he won't get to see him until Memorial Day weekend.

We are heading home!

Tulsa Baby Shower

We had such a good time while we were in Tulsa for my baby shower!  It was my last trip I could take before the baby gets here.  Mike and I drove in with Barley and stayed for about a week.  The whole family was there and my parents were even able to join us too.  It was a busy week.  We celebrated Roman's 4th birthday, my baby shower, and got in some lake time too!  My parents got to spend some time at the lake and go on some cold boat rides with us. Mike's aunts Janell, Jill, and cousin Jessie hosted a wonderful baby shower for me.  It was so much fun and Ashley's mom even got to come celebrate with us too.
Me and my sista in laws:)  Ashley is pregnant too and will be expecting Hudson about 2 weeks after us.

The Grandmas.

I love this picture with Pam and her mom.
